Tiger Media was introduced to Canton Public Schools in 2017. Mr. and Mrs. Barney were wanting to bring new classes to the high school. They decided newspaper class would be the thing.

A year later, Tiger Media works to keep up with all school activities and report them to keep the school and community informed.

The Claw staff produces daily updates to the school newspaper and has staff members in charge of posting on several social media sites such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.

“Being newspaper editor is harder because some people do not know how to caption their pictures,” Caden Koehn, sophomore, said.

“We get the pictures for Instagram from certain events at the school, such as the back to school picnic,” Brianna Ross, sophomore, said.

“The reason I had decided to run the Tiger Media Snapchat is because everyone I know has a Snapchat and they are normally on it several times a day. At the end of the school year I thought it would be cool to have a Tiger Media Snapchat. The students could add it to be updated on school events like what the dress up days are and and keep updated on football and basketball games. It is a challenge at times though. I have to make sure I remember to log in whenever something cool or important happens, instead of just watching,” Roxey Linder, senior, said.

The Tiger Media Staff is ready to recognize students, activities, and all school functions for this 2018-2019 school year.
