Win Win Week

Win+Win+Week

In honor of breast cancer awareness month in October, Canton Schools will participate in  Win Win Week. Each grade will do a project raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer in Oklahoma. In the past 8 years the students of Oklahoma have raised $750,000 which benefited breast cancer patients with 22,000 tanks of gas, over 8,500 hotel rooms, family counseling, meals, and many more.

The Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center uses the funds raised by the students in schools to provide services that would normally be unavailable to patients. The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) awards a state championship trophy to the school in each classification that has the most effective breast cancer awareness fundraising. Canton has won this trophy for class A three of the last six years.

The theme this year for Pink Out is Friday Night Fight for the Cure. The 7th grade is selling popcorn balls, the 8th grade is having a bake sale, 9th grade is doing caramel apples, 10th grade is doing a silent auction, 11th grade is selling t-shirts, and 12th grade is passing the bucket. This year’s Win-Win game will be held on Friday, October 26th. Canton is playing Turpin.
