Brandi Brandly has been a Special Olympics coach for 11 years and 10 years with a unified team. She now has 8 athletes and 8 partners after starting with just one, Nicole Hysell.

The Special Olympics team has started practicing bowling every Tuesday in Fairview. The first Special Olympics competition will be on October 25th.

“This year I am wanting to get more of the school involved and becoming a Unified Champion School. There are only 65 schools in Oklahoma involved in the Unified Champion Schools. I am wanting to start a “fans in the stands” which is where we have some students come and dance in the stands. They also come to cheer on all of the contestants in the competition,” Brandi Brandly, Special Olympics coach, said.
