Walking Against Hunger

October 10th, at 7:30 A.M., elementary students met at the Canton swimming pool to walk to school. Canton had 10 students, 5 teachers, and 1 grandparent attend International Walk to School Day. Students and teachers decided to walk even with cool weather.

The Blaine County Community Health Action Team (BCCHAT) set up the food drive for Blaine County. The purpose of the walk was to walk against hunger. Students and parents were welcome to bring a variety of healthy non-perishable food.

“Walking to school was fun but, it was cold,” Karliee Pope, said.

“For walk to school day it was kind of chilly. I had to wear warm clothes and my coat to keep me warm,” Miley Unruh, said.
