On Monday October 29, the Canton Tiger yearbook staff travelled to the University of Oklahoma to attend Media Monday. Media Monday is the State Publications Competition sponsored by Oklahoma Scholastic media. “It was really exciting when I looked up at the board and saw Canton Public Schools. It was almost unreal,” Alicia Luna, sophomore, said.

The Tiger staff won several awards at the 103rd annual event, including All-Oklahoman, an award given to the best yearbook in each division.

Jenny Delgado won two first place awards for alternative copy and student life spread.

Brianna Ross won two first place awards for feature presentation and sports action photo.

Roxey Linder won one a first place award for endsheets and a second place award for headline design.

Beau Fuqua won a second place award for sports spread. “First place would’ve been better,” Beau Fuqua, sophomore, said.

The Tiger media staff won two second place awards for theme development/copy and theme development/design.
