FFA Labor Auction Raises Funds for Activities

On Tuesday November 6,  the Canton FFA held its annual labor auction to raise money. The labor auction began at 6:30. There was a total of thirty-six people auctioned off including Mr. Mitchell the ag teacher. They were auctioned off for one, eight-hour work day.

The highest bid was one thousand dollars for Mr. Mitchell. FFA president Claysen Scott and secretary Seth Bromlow were each sold for seven hundred dollars. The FFA chapter raised a total of about $15,000. They also auctioned off desserts and baskets that each grade made.

“My family and I are big supporters of FFA, because it is a good organization, and I am proud of all of the students in FFA. I think that it is a good platform to learn and can make kids hard workers,” Brandon Web, bidder, said.

“I support this fundraiser because I think that this is a good organization, the money is for the kids, and I have some work for these kids to do,” Melena Foster, bidder, said.
