Special Olympics Team Competes at Track

On Thursday, March 28, the Canton Special Olympics team went to Woodward, Oklahoma for a track and fields event. They competed in throwing the turbo jav and running different distances.

This is the first time the Tigers Unified Champions Club members have also gone with Special Olympics to cheer them on in a fans in the stands event.

Charli Murray won first in the turbo jav and fifty-meter run.

Hazel Sankey placed second in the turbo jav and fifty-meter run.

Ryan Hysell placed fourth in the turbo jav and second in the fifty-meter run.

Jacob Sleeper placed second in the turbo jav and first in the hundred-meter run.

Kane Boeckman won first in the turbo jav and fifty-meter walk.

William Prouty placed second in the turbo jav and hundred-meter run.

Saturday, March 30 Canton Special Olympics is going to Norman to compete in unified bocce. The Special Olympic unified partners are also attending.
