School Buses Are Upgrading

After over a year of issues with the bus fleet, Canton Public Schools began upgrading the buses Monday afternoon.

The bus the school bought is a 2016 IC that can have up to 71 passengers in it. It has 25,869 miles. The bus is equipped with a Cummins engine, Allison transmission, and hydraulic brakes.

In a few days, the school plans to buy another bus. The other bus the school is going to buy is a 2016 IC that can have up to 65 passengers in it. This bus has 34,341 miles on it and is equipped the same way at the bus purchased Monday.

Canton Public Schools’ buses had declined to the point that the school has recently borrowed buses from Fairview, and to run some bus routes with school suburbans.
