Mushroom Hunting Is On Its Way

Mushroom hunting is going out looking for wild mushrooms. They are called Yellow Morels. They look like a brain, and there are different shapes and sizes. Mushrooms are about to be coming out because of the temperature and the rain.

Once the ground gets plenty of rain and the temperature is around 60 to 70 degrees, mushrooms will start coming up. Mushroom hunting could be boring, but when the hunter is finding mushrooms it isn’t boring anymore.

Mushroom hunting could be difficult sometimes because of the leaves and grass, and sometimes mushrooms are under logs, so hunters have to be really observant. Mushrooms can be found under cedar trees where the ground is wet.

“A tip for mushroom hunting is looking anywhere under the trees where it’s wet,” Maeci Baker, senior, said.
