Canton Athletes Qualify for State Meet

The Canton High School Track team traveled to Cherokee to compete in the regional track meet Friday, April 30. They had several members of the team qualify for the state track meet.
Blair Dowell qualified for state in the girls’ high jump. Arianna Green, Madison Rauh, Aubrey Cheney, Hoplein Hood, and an alternate to be determined qualified for state in the girls 4×400 meter relay. Luke Swartwood, Ethan Foster, Cody Hooten, Brandon Day, and alternate Steven Shanley qualified for the boys’ 4×200 meter relay. Luke Swartwood qualified for the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.
The State track meet will be on Saturday, May 8th.
