Canton Hosts Labor Auction
On November 9th, Canton FFA will host its annual labor auction to help raise money for activities that are going on in ag. Labor auctions help Canton FFA get their kids more involved in their community and raise money for future projects.
“The Labor auction is our biggest fundraiser. It helps us go to leadership camps and conferences, state FFA convention, pays for shop supplies, and entry fees for stock shows. When we grill hot dogs and food, that comes out of our FFA activity account,” Mr. Mitchel, ag teacher, said.
While at this year’s labor auction, the Canton FFA chapter will be serving breakfast and a choice between water or tea. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
“The best thing about the labor auction would probably be seeing the community come together and supporting our ag chapter,” Mrs. Wood, horticulture teacher, said.
All are welcome to attend the labor auction.
