Junior High Teams Victorious Over Geary

Tuesday, November 16, Canton junior high played Geary for their third game of the season.

Geary won the jump to start off the girls game. Soon, the Lady Tigers scored their first points with a layup, then went on to score a total of 24 points during the first quarter. The Geary offense managed to add 3 of their own points to the board before the end of the quarter.

During the second quarter, the junior high girls scored two more layups along with Kamdyn Hulse making 2 free throws. Geary made 2 of their own buckets, leaving the score at halftime 30-7 in favor of Canton.

Coming out of halftime, the Lady Tigers scored right away after stealing the ball with their defensive press. They then went on to score 18 more points during the quarter. Geary had added three of their own points by the end of the quarter.

The last quarter came to an end with the Lady Tigers scoring 4 more points and Geary putting up 10 of their own. The ending score of the girls game was Canton 54 and Geary 20.

To start the boys game, Geary won the jump and began their offense. During the quarter, Canton scored 10 points with Geary scoring 2.

In the second quarter, the Tiger’s offense added a total of 12 more points to the board with Geary adding 8 more of their own. The ending score at halftime was Canton 22 and Geary 10.

Coming out of halftime, Canton boys scored 14 more points throughout the third quarter. Geary’s offense managed to score 4 points of their own by the end of the quarter.

Throughout the last quarter, the Tigers could not add any more points to the score. However, Geary put up 11 points, leaving the end score of the game to be Canton 36 and Geary 25.
