Ashlea Dowell has always dreamed of becoming a meteorologist on T.V., but in reality, she is a Junior High and High School science teacher.

Ashlea graduated from Laverne schools in 1997 and graduated in 2000 from OSU. She loved the geology department and cross country team at OSU. Before teaching, Ashlea was a lab assistant at Southwestern and took teaching courses after she got her geology degree. She then got a job at an oil company in the geology department.

Ashlea has three children with Bret Dowell, Taylor, Blair, and Chase. She also has 11 animals–four dogs, five chickens, and two fish. Ashlea’s favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family.

Her favorite movie is October Sky and her favorite book is the Bible. Ashlea has been to Belize and Canada. When I asked Ashlea what she likes to do in her free time she said, “What free time? I have none.”
