Canton graduate returns to teach

Home+Grown

Kayce Thompson, Canton High School math teacher and cheer coach, was born and raised in Canton, Oklahoma. She graduated from Canton High School in 1998. After graduation, she thought about what she wanted to do for the rest of her life, and she decided to pursue a degree in teaching.

When asked what she is most proud of, Mrs. Thompson was quick to reply that her four children, Braxton, Hayden, Emberly and Lynnley are what make her proud. The person she admires most is her mother, Mrs. Heath, because she is the smartest and most loving person she knows. Mrs. Thompson describes herself as fun, zany, witty and loyal.

Mrs. Thompson likes to listen to pop and country music. In her free time, she enjoys watching NCIS. Free time most likely doesn’t happen since her oldest son is on the junior high cheer team and her youngest son plays pee wee football.  She also has high school cheer practice two nights each week.

Mrs. Thompson said, “The weirdest thing that has happened to me, is people telling me that they watch my videos on Facebook!” She also sells LulaRoe clothing and makes videos to show customers her inventory.
