The Science of Keefer
Before coming back to Okeene, OK, in 2015, Sarah Keefer was a COA Certified Ophthalmic assistant and a surgical technician for ocular surgeries in Florida. Sarah started her dream job at Okeene High School teaching science in 2015. She then relocated her dream at Canton High School in 2016 teaching science.
Sarah graduated from Okeene High School in 1995 and went to the University of South Florida because it was a really good college to go to for science and pre med students.
In her free time, Sarah likes to read and spend time with her family. Her favorite book is Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin, and her favorite movie is Interstellar. Sarah has traveled all over the United States and the Caribbean, and she has also traveled to Europe.
When asked what it’s like teaching at Canton, she said, “Teaching anywhere is a privilege and very rewarding, but I especially like Canton because coming from a small town I get the small town feel. The school spirit is incredible, and I am very thankful for such experienced and supportive coworkers, I am truly blessed!”
