10 Mini Vacations for Spring Break
Spring Break for Canton Public School’s is March 17 – 25. It’s the time of the year when parents want to take a mini family vacation before summer starts. Here are ten fun, family things to do during spring break on a budget.
1.Camping
Camping can be done anywhere from the backyard to out at the lake. Campsites at the Canton range from $15 – $40.
2, Clinton Water-Zoo
Water-Zoo admission fees are $23.49 for anybody under forty-eight inches and $35 for anybody over forty-eight. At the Water-Zoo there is four slides and a lazy river
3. Roman Nose State Park
Roman Nose is in Watonga. At Roman Nose, there is swimming, horseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, and even a motel and restaurant.
4. Bricktown
Bricktown is in Downtown, OKC. In Bricktown, there are lots of places to eat and shop. There is a movie theater and water taxis.
5. Oklahoma City Zoo
At the Oklahoma City Zoo admission is $8 for children and $11 for adults. At the zoo, there are lots of different animals including a children’s zoo
6. Alabaster Caverns State Park
Alabaster Caverns State Park is located near Freedom, Oklahoma. Tent sites are $14 and RV sites are $22. There are walking trails. There are forty-five minute long tours given.
7. Great Salt Plains
At Great Salt Plains, there is swimming, hiking, camping, and boating. There are cabins, shower spots, and campsites. There is also a beach to swim and a fishing dock.
8. Oklahoma Aquarium
The Oklahoma Aquarium is located in Tulsa. While there people can walk through a tunnel with sharks surrounding them. Tickets at the Oklahoma Aquarium are $12 for children and $16 for adults.
9. Tiger Safari
Tiger Safari is in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Tiger Safari is $35 per person. While there, people can feed deer, go through the petting zoo, and have an interaction with an animal of their choice.
10. Oklahoma City Science Museum
The Oklahoma City Science Museum costs $13 for children and $16 for adults. The Science Museum has a lot of different things to do for everyone in the family.
With a little money and some research, there are limitless educational and fun places to go with a family over spring break.
