For the fourteenth game of the season, the Tigers played the Fairview Yellow Jackets. At the start of the game, the Yellow Jackets won the jump. On defense, the Tigers were unable to stop the Yellow Jackets from scoring a layup. On offense, the Tigers tried to run a play and made a three-pointer, giving them a one-point lead. The score at the end of the first quarter was the Canton Tigers 16 and the Fairview Yellow Jackets 12.
In the second quarter, the Tigers started with the ball. On offense, the Tigers ran one of their plays, with the Tigers making a three-pointer. On defense, the Tigers were able to stop the Yellow Jackets from scoring. However, in the final seconds of the quarter, the Yellow Jackets went on an eight-point lead in the first half. The score at the end of the second quarter was the Canton Tigers 24 and the Fairview Yellow Jackets 30.
After half-time, the Tigers started on defense. On defense, the Tigers kept the Yellow Jackets from scoring, drawing offensive fouls. On offense, the Tigers tried to run their plays, however, the ball would be stolen, with the Yellow Jackets making fast breaks against the Tigers. The score at the end of the third quarter was the Canton Tigers 39 and the Fairview Yellow Jackets 44.
In the fourth quarter, the Tigers started with the ball. On offense, the Tigers kept trying to run their plays, however, the Yellow Jackets kept stealing the ball. On defense, the Tigers tried to stop the Yellow Jackets. However, the Tigers resulted in fouling the Yellow Jackets, trying to slow down the game. In the final minutes of the game, the Tigers were able to run their plays again but were still unable to stop the Yellow Jackets from scoring.
The final score of the game was the Canton Tigers 45 and the Fairview Yellow Jackets 62. The Tigers’ next game will be against the Sharon-Mutual Trojans, on January 21.
