Tigers Fall to the Wildcats by Fifteen Points

For the twenty-third game of the season, the Tigers played the Seiling Wildcats. At the start of the game, the Wildcats won the jump, with the Wildcats making a fast-break. On offense, the Tigers drove into the Wildcats’ defense, passing the ball out and making a lay-up. On defense, the Tigers manned-up the Wildcats, stealing the ball and making a fast-break.

In the second quarter, the Tigers started on defense. On defense, the Tigers were able to draw offensive fouls on the Wildcats. On offense, the Tigers moved the ball, shooting an open three-pointer.

At the start of the second half, the Tigers started on offense. On offense, the Tigers tried hitting their posts, however, the Wildcats were able to steal the ball and make a fast-break. On defense, the Tigers were unable to stop the Wildcats from driving and shooting jump-shots. 

In the final quarter, the Tigers started on offense. On offense, however, the Tigers tried shooting a jump-shot, but the Wildcats fouled the shot and shoved the player down. Both the Tigers and the Wildcats received a warning from the referee. On defense, the Tigers held off the Wildcats from driving and were unable to stop them from shooting three-pointers. In the final minutes of the game, the Tigers and the Wildcats subbed in their second teams. The Tigers second team was able to score five points, closing the large point difference to fifteen points.

The final score of the game was the Canton Tigers 52 and the Seiling Wildcats 67. The Tigers’ next game will be on February 14th, against the Covington-Douglas Wildcats for Districts.
