A Whole New Game?

It has been debated for a long time whether or not freshmen should play high school football.

Freshmen should not play high school football. It can be a very challenging task, mentally and physically. Freshmen are usually small and not very tough. It would be difficult for them to face the huge sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They can easily be injured.

The older boys are usually taller and stronger. It would be tough for a little freshman to receive a pass if they have a huge giant in their way.

Also, freshman year is the beginning of being able to join new groups and activities. If they are too busy with trying to get better at football, they will miss out on all the exciting things to do.

Freshmen will soon begin to stress when they do not get to play in the game on the high school team, and will eventually talk themselves out of playing next year. The high school team will lose players and become smaller each year.

With the potential for physical and mental injury, the freshmen should not play high school football. Freshmen have three years to play, they can wait and be ready for the next year of football.
