Top Ten Shows to Binge Watch

As a teenager who likes to spend most of my time at home, I do a lot of binge-watching. Binge-watching television is a great way to waste time. Here I have compiled a list of my top 10 shows to binge-watch in your free time.

  1. New Girl

Starting off with one of my favorite shows, New Girl. New Girl is a show about a girl named Jessica Day who gets cheated on by her boyfriend and is forced to move out. She moves into an apartment she found on Craigslist and ends up living with three guys.

      2. The Good Place

The Good Place is about a place that is not heaven or hell, but it is the good and bad place that people get sent to after death based on their life choices. Elanor Shellstrop is sent to the good place by mistake and decides to become a better person while also hiding that she was not a good person on earth.

      3. Amphibia

For people who are into cartoons, one of my favorites to binge-watch over and over again is Amphibia. Amphibia is about three girls named Anne, Marcy, and Sasha. They mistakenly teleport to a world of frogs that can also talk. The show is about their journey back home.

      4. The Office

An obvious one to watch is The Office. If you have not heard of The Office it is about a   paper company and it is set in an office. It is a funny show and easy to get lost in for hours.

      5. Hearstopper

Heartstopper is a romantic comedy and it is fairly short and can be finished within a day. It is about two boys who are seated by each other at the beginning of a school semester, and they start to have unexpected feelings for each other.

      6. Atypical

Atypical is about a boy named Sam who has autism. It is about his family and it follows his life. It has loveable characters. All three seasons are out and it has 38 episodes so it might take more than a weekend, but it is great to binge-watch and it is also great to rewatch.

      7. The Last of Us

The Last of Us is based on a video game and is a new show on HBO Max. It currently has six episodes out, and new episodes air each Sunday. It is about the zombie apocalypse, and there is a girl who is immune, Ellie. It is mainly about Ellie and Joel’s story about surviving. It is a great show to binge-watch before the next episode airs.

      8. Wednesday

Wednesday is a popular show on Netflix. It is eight episodes long, and it is about Wednesday, from the Addams Family,  as a student at Nevermore Academy. She is trying to solve a mystery. It has been officially renewed for season two, so binge-watch it before season two comes out.

      9. Young Royals

Young Royals is about the crown prince of Sweden, Wilhelm, who gets sent to Hillerska boarding school after he has a fight. It is about having to make choices between disappointing the Royal family or doing the opposite. It is a shorter show and although it is stressful, it is definitely worth the watch.

      10. Parks and Recreation

This show is similar to The Office. It is about an overly enthusiastic girl named Leslie Knope who works in the parks and recreation department in a city. It is an overall funny show and does not take a lot of thinking to watch, so it is easy to binge-watch and to watch while doing other things.
