Girl’s First Scrimmage

Tuesday, October, 31, the high school basketball girls had a scrimmage at Canton against Timberlake and Hennessey. A scrimmage is a practice between two teams from different schools. The teams play one ten minute quarter and then switch with other teams. Scrimmages can last for three to four hours. Each team will at least get to play ten games.

The girls’ basketball team has had two scrimmages before this one, and they will have two more on November 7 and November 14. The girls are getting better with each scrimmage they play. The team didn’t lose any players from last year’s team and have had strong practices so far.The girls are being coached by David Baldwin and assisting Baldwin is the boy’s basketball coach, Patrick Rich. The players and coaches are looking forward to a good season.
