As we all know Santa Claus is believed to give gifts to all the nice children, but there was someone else who was claimed to be by his side during Christmas. 

The creature is a horned, human and animal-like figure that would handle the naughty children on the evening of December 5th. His name was Krampus. 

Krampus is believed to beat those who are naughty with branches and sticks and in some cases, he eats them or takes them to hell. 

He originated from Germany where Christmas celebrations are celebrated in early December.
