Some people believe that dogs are better than cats, but I think that cats are better because they are independent and are most of the time calm. Now don’t get me wrong, I still think dogs are great, but I think that cats are better for many reasons.  

Cats are better than dogs because they are independent. All that cats really need is mostly for their owner to supply them with food and water and some attention and they will be fine for a little while. When I am at school I don’t have to worry about my cats because they will do whatever they want while I’m not home. Dogs, on the other hand, will tear up everything while their owner is gone.

Cats can also catch mice. Not all cats will catch mice if they’re lazy, but the ones who will catch mice can be helpful if people have mice. Cats will not always catch mice, but cats have a predatory instinct to hunt, so they tend to pounce at mice. The only bad thing about cats is that they bring in dead birds sometimes.
