I Like the Old One, Mr. Grinch
Loading ...Every year, my family and I watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas. This is my all time favorite Christmas movie. Between the comedic elements and Jim Carey’s acting, this movie is a holiday icon.
However, there are other Grinch- related movies, the latest of which, I believe is the worst. This new movie is titled The Grinch. This new adaptation of the beloved Seuss tale follows a completely different story that it’s predecessors. This grinchy film consists of new characters, a strange lack of backstory, and a completely different conflict. It still has the Grinch “steal” Christmas, but it almost feels like a subplot.
The new Grinch movie would have been better if it had not tried to keep the story the same. If it would have either just elaborated on the original story or created a new one.
